Having left school after A levels, I joined a local top five firm of Accountants in the UK as a trainee tax advisor. I spent eight years with this firm during which time I studied for and passed the Association of Tax Technicians qualification before joining my current employer, originally, as Manager of a tax department within a Northampton based firm of stockbrokers. Our business has since evolved into specialising in taxation and Financial Planning. I currently maintain a varied client portfolio dealing with individuals, Partnerships, small businesses, Companies and Trusts. This involves compliance and planning work covering such items as Self Assessment Tax Return Forms, Trust and Partnership Returns, small business and Company Accounts, PAYE, VAT and CIS preparation and general tax advice on all matters including Capital Gains Tax.
